The Site Director oversees the campus operations for the Marion Shadd site for the University of the District Columbia’s Community College, Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Division.

Brief Description of Duties

 

  1. Ensures effective campus operations and recommends operational improvements to the Dean.
  2. Creates environment for student success by providing information and support to students.
  3. Coordinates special campus projects, special events and other public relations affairs (i.e. information sessions, town hall meetings, student/faculty appreciation functions, etc.).
  4. Coordinates program/course scheduling, assign classrooms and facilities to maximize room utilization throughout the campus.
  5. Manages team at respective campus/site.
  6. Responsible for planning, assigning and directing work; appraising employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees through HR policy/procedure; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  7. Prepares and provides appropriate information for annual budget development process.
  8. Notifies the Dean on violations of college policies and procedures or operational irregularities.
  9. Works closely with the campus security and Administrative Services to aid in the maintenance of a safe learning environment.
  10. Develops, plans and implements goals and objectives to maximize space utilization with the approval of the Dean.  Recommends changes to procedures to increase campus utilization, efficiency, customer service and efforts to increase student enrollment and completion.
  11. Manages inventory of supplies for classrooms and initiates reordering process when necessary.  Provides logistical support for campus faculty and staff.
  12. Provides support and maintains communication with part-time faculty.
  13. Plans and implements special projects as assigned by the Dean to increase customer service, room utilization and/or accommodate program needs.
  14. Serves on campus, college-wide, and community supported committees to represent the college.
  15. Coordinates student recruitment activities/events.
  16. Recruits and vets part-time faculty.

Required Qualifications
 

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent operational experience.
  2. At least three (3) years operational management experience.
  3. At least three (3) years supervisory experience
     
Information to Applicant

Condition of Employment:  Temporary employment is restricted to a one year appointment and employment may be ended at anytime with or without cause.

Collective Bargaining Unit (Non-Union): This position is not in the collective bargaining unit.
