The Assistant Site Director assists in overseeing the campus operations for a specific site in the Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Division of the University of the District Columbia’s Community College.

Number of Vacancies: 2

Position Status: Full-time, temporary

Pay Plan, Series & Grade:  AD-301-7

Salary Range: $53,872 - $72,588

Brief Description of Duties

  1. Assists to ensure effective campus operations.
  2. Creates environment for student success by providing information and support to students.
  3. Assists to coordinate special campus projects, special events and other public relations affairs (i.e. information sessions, town hall meetings, student/faculty appreciation functions, etc.).
  4. Coordinates program/course scheduling, assign classrooms and facilities to maximize room utilization throughout the campus.
  5. Manages personnel at respective campus/site.
  6. Assists to plan, assign and direct work; rewards and disciplines employees through HR policy/procedure; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  7. Notifies the Site Director on violations of college policies and procedures or operational irregularities.
  8. Works closely with the campus security and Administrative Services to aid in the maintenance of a safe learning environment.
  9. Assists in the development, planning, and implementation of goals and objectives to maximize space utilization.
  10. Manages inventory of supplies for classrooms and initiates reordering process when necessary.  Provides logistical support for campus faculty and staff.
  11. Provides support and maintains communication with part-time faculty.
  12. Participates in projects to increase customer service, room utilization and/or accommodate program needs.
  13. Assists with coordinating student recruitment activities/events.
  14. Assists with recruitment of part-time faculty.

Required Qualifications

  1. Associate’s degree or equivalent operational experience.
  2. One (1) year supervisory experience preferred.

Condition of Employment: Temporary employment is restricted to a one year appointment and employment may be ended at anytime with or without cause.

Collective Bargaining Unit (Non-Union): This position is not part of the collective bargaining unit.
