Brief Description of
Duties
The Administrative Assistant shall report to the Director of the Student Center.  The Administrative Assistant will handle the maintenance and development of administrative and clerical daily functions.  The Assistant will also assist in budget related tasks for the Student Center and Office of Student Affairs.  The Administrative Assistant is an essential position and shared between the Office of Student Affairs and the Student Center. 
                                                                                                           
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist in financial management of Student Center operations.
  2. Drafts budget forecasting and control, accounting, purchasing, and general business functions.
  3. Oversee registered student organization (RSO) budgets
  4. Collaborate with faculty, staff and students in Resources, Accounting, and Logistical Services to ensure that all registered student organization expenditures are compliant with appropriate policies and procedures
  5. Assist in student organization training and support
  6. Monitor and track student center budget expenditures
  7. Assist in Student Center facility reservations and operations
  8. Support Student Center programs and events as needed
  9. Coordinate all staff travel, pre-departure planning track office staff leave
  10. Provide general administrative support to office staff and direct support to the Director of Student Center
OTHER DUTIES:
  1. Other duties as assigned.
 
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field.
  2. Two or more years' related office experience
  3. Some Familiarity with scheduling software programs.
  4. Demonstrated understanding of conference, reservations and event services.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to listen, clearly articulate thoughts/directions/expectations and develop reports/proposals and make presentations.
