GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:
Information Processor ensures the accuracy of the work as it is important that correct permanent student records are created, maintained and disseminated by the Offices of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions and transmitted to the Office of the Registrar. Additionally, if incorrect information is made a part of the student’s permanent record, the University may be subject to financial liability and the withdrawal of current accreditation.
                                                                                                                                               
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                                  
Reporting to the Document Manager, the Information Processor serves as the link between paper information and computer data. Specifically, the Information Processor:
 

  • Reads information for accuracy, make corrections if necessary, enter the data and store the hard copies and electronic data in the proper place
  • Enters data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard according to screen format
  • Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
OTHER DUTIES:
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned by Document Manager in supporting the overall enrollment goals and the mission and vision of the University
 
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Five years job related experience, including some supervisory experience
  • High School diploma required
  • Must have experience with a variety of software programs including, but not limited to, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications and technology
  • High energy, attention to detail, and the ability to remain organized
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment

  1. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work skillfully and cooperatively with faculty, staff and student representatives
  3. Considerable knowledge of the operation and care of commonly used office equipment and machines.

  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality of documentation
  7. Dedication to students, commitment to excellence in creating and providing student support services and ensuring student success.

Information to Applicant

Collective Bargaining Unit (Union): This position is in the collective bargaining unit represented by AFSCME local 2087 and you may be required to pay an agency service fee through direct payroll deduction.

Bona fide District residency must be maintained from the date of appointment to the position for seven (7) consecutive years.
