Description
The Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Division (WDLL) is a longstanding program of the University. The incumbent works under the direct supervision of a higher graded employee who makes assignments, gives instructions and is readily available for advice and assistance as needed. Work is reviewed frequently for accuracy, completeness and compliance with instructions and procedures. The incumbent will perform duties at the UDC Campus and all WDLL satellite sites.

Brief Description of Duties

The Clerk will answer telephone calls, take messages, and refer calls to the appropriate staff person, provide basic information in response to requests, establish and maintain files, distribute incoming correspondence, assist with searching and compiling information and data and serve as messenger, as required. The Clerk will also assist with routine duties, coding and routing documents, process and maintain records and written material, operate office equipment such as Xerox machines and participates in various special projects, as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED is required.

Condition of Employment: This is a temporary appointment. Temporary employment may be ended at anytime with or without cause.

Collective Bargaining Unit (Non-Union): This position is not in the collective bargaining unit.
