Brief Description of Duties

 

The Admissions Outreach Coordinator assists in the coordination of the School of Law’s efforts to raise its visibility to and contact with prospective applicants, admitted students, pre-law advisors, national student organizations, and local government agencies, through print media, telephone communications, e-mail, social media, direct tabling, group presentations, and on-campus events. The Admissions Outreach Coordinator works closely with the Dean of Admission to identify priorities and provide messaging in a coordinated fashion. The Admissions Outreach Coordinator reports to the Dean of Admissions. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Conceptualizes newsletters and email campaigning specific to areas of law and current programming
  2. Provides assistance in matriculate yield efforts through in-person, telephone, e-mail, social media, and print communications
  3. Uses ACES2 system to query database for prospective students
  4. Publicizes of School of Law events and programs through various social media
  5. Assists in the design and production of Admissions recruitment materials for print
  6. Organizes admissions process workshops and informal information sessions for students attending local feeder schools

 OTHER DUTIES: 
 
  1. Some administrative tasks as needed
  2. Provide back-up support to other Admission Officers
  3. Provide special event support
  4. Assist with mailings as needed
  5. Other duties as assigned and directed by the Dean of Admission
 Required Qualifications
 
  1. Bachelor’s degree required.
  2. J.D. preferred.
  3. Three (3) years of experience in admissions and/or student affairs
  4. Two (2) years of professional experience with social media marketing
  5. Two (2) years of professional experience with designing print communication
  6. Two (2) years of professional experience with ACES2 or similar CRM software

Condition of Employment:  This is a sponsored program appointment. The duration of this appointment is subject to grant fund availability.   

Collective Bargaining Unit (Non-Union): This position is not in the collective bargaining unit.
