Description

Under the supervision of the Project Director – Healthcare Administration (TAACCCT 4), the incumbent functions as a Project Coordinator for the TAACCCT 4 grant.  The TAACCCT 4 grant is part of the Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning (WDLL) division at the University of the District of Columbia Community College.  This is a grant-funded initiative that prepares District residents for careers in the hospitality and healthcare administration sectors.  The responsibilities of this position include the budgeting, planning, and assisting in the implementation of a multi-million dollar grant.

Salary Range:  $55,952.00-$64,270.00

Brief Description of Duties


 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  
 

  1. Plans, coordinates, and assists in managing of Healthcare Administration portion of project at various workforce development sites in the city.
  2. Tracks budget expenditures and spending plan.  Prepares budget reports for Project Director and Associate Dean.
  3. Assists in determining the demand for and potential clients for Healthcare Administration training programs and services.
  4. Assists in selecting and assembling course materials and develops and organizes training manuals and educational materials for course offerings.
  5. In consultation with the Project Director, responds to requests to provide summaries of data, records, and/or progress reports on the project.
  6. Researches and provides continuous up to date information on changes to Department of Labor policies and regulations as they relate to the project.
  7. Assists in the development of program strategies, reviews and evaluates non-credit and informal education programs for quality performance and compliance with industry and government standards.
  8. Confers with management and conducts surveys to identify training needs based on labor market information, industry changes and other factors.
  9. Evaluates instructor performance and the effectiveness of classes, training programs and provides recommendations for continued improvement.
  10. Develops outcomes assessment strategies for project and project participants.
  11. Coordinates and participates in project outreach activities and career fairs for the project.
  12.  Works with the Project Director to develop marketing materials.
  13. Participates in meetings and conferences.
 
OTHER DUTIES:

Required Qualifications
 

  1. BS degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of diverse cultural
  3. Excellent customer service skills.
  4. Managerial and organizational skills
  5. Skilled in organizational development, strategic planning and public policy research and development.
  6. Familiarity with oral health, clinical, and/or administrative healthcare.

Condition of Employment:  This is a sponsored program appointment. The duration of this appointment is subject to grant fund availability.
