The Employer Outreach Coordinator functions as a team member of the Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Division at the UDC-Community College. The incumbent will be responsible for recruiting activities through new partnerships and new initiatives.  This position is highly visible and is primarily responsible for developing and managing external employer relationships.

Brief Description of Duties

The Employer Outreach Coordinator will develop and enforce policies for employer participation in recruiting programs regarding acceptable methods of employer outreach, oversee and develop policies, prepare and screen viable candidates for internship opportunities in Information Technology and Administrative work environments, conduct outreach to local employers who are willing to be a hosting site, recruit and develop relationships with IT companies and companies that offer potential job opportunities in the Administrative field, assess employer needs and review employer feedback and collaborate with the Community College Director of Career Services and other appropriate departments.  The Employer Outreach Coordinator will also be responsible for reports and evaluations of the internship component, network with Chamber of Commerce, employers and professional associations for recruiting purposes, represent office in a variety of University, community and other networking events, visit employer sites, and hosting organizations on campus for employer development and cultivation purposes through group meetings and other organizations, assist participants with job search related coaching and performing employer outreach, secure venues for meetings and facilitate industry committee meetings, and prepare and submit reports related to internship and employment results.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field and at least three years of related work experience in employer outreach or management required.

Condition of Employment: Temporary employment is restricted to a one year appointment and employment may be ended at anytime with or without cause.

Collective Bargaining Unit (Non-Union): This position is not in the collective bargaining unit.
