Brief Description of Duties:


Responsible for data integrity and order management of a high-volume of prospective student information. Build relationships with unit directors to source necessary data. With the document manager, create report templates and data integrity measures. Assign, prepare, and enter high volume of student data in assigned cohort categories. Facilitate resolution of receiving problems for processing team through email, telephone, and face-to-face communication in a timely manner. Comfortable usage of Excel and Outlook to prioritize and manage a high volume work load.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Reviews the processing of applications for all prospective students

· Assess information for accuracy, make corrections if necessary, enter the data and store the hard copies and electronic data in the proper place

· Manages the Entry of data into our student tracking system as well as updating and maintaining all student information in appropriate databases (Banner and/or Ellucian Recruiter)

· Enters data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard according to screen format

· Loads electronic applications in Student Information System (Suspense Files)

· Maintains assigned student cohort and or alpha portion of records, correcting and troubleshooting information when necessary

· Inputs and updates student information in order to carry out the communication flow to applicants in an accurate manner

· Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures

· Works closely with the admission counselors, providing administrative support concerning the status of the applicant files

· Collaborates with internal stakeholders concerning student admission records

· Audit files for quality control checkpoints for accurate student files

· Assist with the Communication aspect of processing to include data integrity and preparing packets

· Assist with opening and processing postal and digital mail

· Accountable for submission of daily reports

· Serve as the point person for processing complaints and catalog incidences with findings using an excel spreadsheet

· Updates general office forms and inventory Kiosk forms as needed

· Digital Imaging and Indexing of student records is required

· Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes

· Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential

· Responsible for any manual registrations necessary for new and returning students

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
 

Minimum Job Requirements:

· 3- 5 years job related experience and with supervisory experience

· High School diploma required;

· Experience with Student Information Systems

· Must have experience with a variety of software programs including, but not limited to, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications and technology;

· High energy, attention to detail, and the ability to remain organized;

· Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment;

Information to Applicant

Collective Bargaining Unit (Union): This position is in the collective bargaining unit represented by AFSCME local 2087 and you may be required to pay an agency service fee through direct payroll deduction.

Residency Preference: The Residency Preference Amendment Act of 1988, D.C. Law 7-203, created a system in which provides that any applicant for employment in the Career or Educational Services who is a bona fide resident of the District of Columbia may claim a residency reference at the time of application. An applicant selected for an appointment based on District residency will be required to submit no less than eight (8) proofs of bona fide District residency. Bona fide District residency must be maintained from the date of appointment to the position for seven (7) consecutive years. Failure to maintain bona fide District residency for the (7) year period will result in forfeiture of employment.
