Brief Description of Duties


The incumbent is responsible for providing technical development, testing, implementation and post implementation support for Ellucian Banner products, and similar, in use at the University. The incumbent works under the administrative direction of the Manager of the Office of Project Management. Work is performed independently within the limitations of governing law and regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 

  • Develop, write and support code to create reports, modify existing Banner components, create custom enhancements, and interfaces between Banner and other various applications.
  • Prepare technical documentation and test matrices.
  • Assist in preparing development schedules, development documentation and change controls, as necessary.
  • Design and code screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems.
  • Create test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications.
  • Assist testers when needed to prepare environments for complex testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Complete technical documentation, development, testing, implementation and post implementation support for Banner projects.  Applications include Student, Finance, Accounts Receivable, & Financial Aid.
  • Work with DBA’s, Release Managers to configure and deploy released code.
  • Provide Second-Tier Helpdesk and Application support as needed. Provide ownership of issues and work with vendor support as needed
     

Required Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced Degree preferred.
  • Five (5) years of related PL/SQL Programming experience

Bona fide District residency must be maintained from the date of appointment to the position for seven (7) consecutive years.
