Brief Description of Duties


Responsible for enrollment and financial aid reporting and analysis, data integrity management system support, maintain and upgrade, and performance and efficiency management for the Enrollment Services (ES) unit. This position serves as the lead for operational data mining and electronic file exchanges with Department of Education. Incumbent is required to work with multiple data resources from different responsibilities covering all aspects of the business units; oversees forecasting, modeling and analysis of student and institutional data, and procuring, supporting and leading system upgrades in the Office of Financial Aid.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Develop and maintain data reports to respond to the University enrollment and financial aid data request from clients, internal and external, to the University.  This includes but not limited to:  Admission, Financial Aid, Student Success & Development Cluster etc.
  • Responsible for transition of data files, resolution of rejected/suspended records, student required disclosures within their respective regulatory periods.
  • Responsible for timely reconciliation of institutional and Department of Education records.
  • Serve as IPEDS data key holders for Enrollment Services and ensures timely report of data that is in compliance with federal regulations
  • Establish an inventory of routine enrollment services reports and ensure timely delivery of data to support university operations across functions.
  • Conduct internal student data and higher education market analysis.  Work with Directors in ES to generate projects and develop enrollment/retention improvement strategy.
  • Generate other ad hoc reports as needed.

Minimum Job Requirements
 

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on IT, computer science or business or equivalent related area
  • Five (5) years’ experience in reporting, business analysis, or related are required.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and a proven customer service approach
  • Demonstrated expertise using Banner to improve and automate business processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical and functional issues within the Banner
  • Highly self-directed with solid problem-solving expertise
  • Ability to read and write SQL queries is useful for this role
  • Financial aid experience preferred
  • Banner experience preferred
